The second release in the five-part Keystone Series from Orkney's Highland Park distillery, Shiel is named for the wooden shovels used to turn the barley by hand. Hand-turned floor maltings make up 20% of the malt used at the distillery, but this release used only hand-turned floor maltings. Limited to just 1,200 bottles when it was released in 2017, it was exclusively available to members of the Highland Park Inner Circle.
